| Duales Inc. is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your
personal information. Protection of your privacy is in keeping with the
Department of Justice Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic
Documents Act (2000) "PIPEDA". |
| Purpose |
| The purpose of PIPEDA is to establish, in an era in which technology
increasingly facilitates the circulation and exchange of information, rules to
govern the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in a manner
that recognizes the right of privacy of individuals with respect to their
personal information and the need of organizations to collect, use or disclose
personal information for purposes that a reasonable person would consider
appropriate in the circumstances. |
| Procedure - Accountability |
| Duales Inc. is responsible for personal information collected and in its
possession, including information that has been transferred to a third party for
processing. We shall use contractual or other means to provide a comparable
level of protection while the information is being processed by a third party.
Accountability for our compliance rests with the designated individual(s), even
though other individuals within Duales Inc. may be responsible for the
day-to-day collection and processing of personal information. |
| Identifying Purposes |
| We will only collect information necessary to identify our client(s) for the
purposes of buying or selling our products and/or services, and in keeping with
compliance laws of varying government and enforcement bodies. Information is
collected orally or in writing. The knowledge and consent of the individual are
required for the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information, except
where inappropriate, such as when information is being collected for the
detection and prevention of fraud or for law enforcement, seeking the consent of
the individual might defeat the purpose of collecting the information. |
| Limiting Collection |
| The collection of personal information shall be limited to that which is
necessary for the purposes identified by Duales Inc. Information shall be
collected by fair and lawful means. |
| Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention |
| Personal information shall not be used or disclosed for purposes other than
those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or
as required by law. Personal information shall be retained only as long as
necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes. |
| Accuracy and Safeguards |
| Personal information shall be as accurate, complete, & up-to-date as is
necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used. Personal information
shall be protected from loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access,
disclosure, copying, use, or modification. Duales Inc. shall make their
employees aware of the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of personal
information. |
| Individual Access |
| Upon request, an individual shall be informed of the existence, use, and
disclosure of his or her personal information and shall be given access to that
information. An individual shall be able to challenge the accuracy and
completeness of the information and have it amended as appropriate. |
